The Growth of The Online Bingo Scene
The bingo online gambling scene has been growing worldwide since the internet launched its first bingo site in 1996. However, it is not the worldwide growth of online bingo that is truly surprising. In the
What makes bingo online gambling even better is the stiff competition between the various bingo sites. These websites have to keep up with the ever changing and increasingly modernized bingo fads in the industry to keep their bingo fans interested. With bingo sites everywhere competing heavily for your custom, there’s never been a better time to play bingo games online. You may not win every bingo jackpot going, but there’s a huge choice of bonuses to boost your bingo budget, loyalty bonuses, special prize gifts, not to mention the ever-increasing jackpot sizes and progressive jackpots that are available today.
The start up or welcome bonuses for new players who join online bingo sites are beginning to change, with increased cash bonuses, or even free no deposit bonuses which are increasing too. Loyalty points are now a built in factor at any bingo site, these schemes reward bingo players with points for their deposits and game play that can be cashed later for free bingo cards.
Some bingo sites like Wink Bingo even offer weekly 10% cash back bonuses – for life – which gives players an extra chance to recoup their losses and hit a bingo jackpot. Online bingo promotions are another huge factor in attracting bingo fans to play at certain websites, and they encourage interactivity among bingo players, which after all, is an extremely social game.
With many hundreds of online bingo sites available, each bingo website has to keep updating its look to adapt to the fast moving world of online bingo. Many sites are choosing to update their complete look, redesigning their websites to stand out from the crowd and attract an even greater range of bingo fans.

Arnold Schwarzenegger Signs Ban on Bingo
The governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a bill that bans charities from allowing players play electronic or online bingo game, preserving Indian tribes’ monopoly on slot machines.
However as a compromise to pass the bill, charities will be allowed to run bingo games simultaneously at multiple sites by using audio and video equipment. It’s debated that the new law will mostly hurt smaller, community-based charities as they will suffer a tremendous loss from their fundraisers.
Doug Bergman, president and chief executive of United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Sacramento, says the law serves the interests of powerful tribes over charities. The “Terminator” terminated the matter by signing the bill by Sen. Gil Cedillo of
The Governor’s decision doesn’t coma as a surprise as the passing of the Ban would have eventually affected the States business and income from other forms of gambling.

New bingo sites for October 2008
Only a few days ago we were wondering whether they'd be any new bingo sites to tell you about in October, but the good news is that we do have three new places for you to try your luck. So our sites for October are Bingo Playground, Top Ten Bingo and the return of Sun Bingo.
OK, Sun Bingo aren't new but they're back on a new platform. Tombola have gone their own way and The Sun and News of the World bingo have partnered up with Jackpotjoy. There's a big difference between our Jackpotjoy bingo games and those on The Sun - everything there is standalone.
If you played on the old Sun Bingo (now Tombola) then you'll find a very similar set up. There's 75, 80 and 90 ball bingo plus side games like Instant Wingo, Whack-a-Moley and Gold Digger. There's no free bingo, but new players can get a deposit bonus when they register.
It's a deposit bonus on offer too at Top Ten Bingo. They'll give you £10 free provided you deposit £10. Top Ten Bingo comes in association with Walkers Bingo and Apollo Bingo. It's powered by Cashcade (who look after Foxy and Think) so the software should be familiar to regular bingo players. Top Ten have their own jackpots and prizes but perhaps might need to offer a small freebie to attract new players.
Our last new bingo site for October is Bingo Playground. Using the Cozy Games software alongside the likes of Magix and Harrys Bingo, this is perhaps one of the best looking of sites on that platform. New players can pick up £15 free, no deposit, but there's more to Playground than just the freebie as it has character - in fact 5 of them - Bob, Irene, Nora, Gordon and Ollie (BINGO). They feature across the site although it's disappointing that they're not on the free tshirts you can get if you make a deposit. Well worth a look though.
